Hidden Tips

Try to request a pool view room on an upper floor. Yes, these might be slightly noisier during the day because of all the pool activity but they generally have such a nice open atmosphere compared to those facing back streets and forest-which by the way can get quite dark sometimes! If your best bet for catching some shut eye is total silence then ask for one of the blocks furthest from main entertainment stage at night time disco thumping hours.

Be strategic about the all-inclusive or half-board food. The restaurant gets very busy at peak times (9:00 AM for breakfast and 8:00 PM for dinner). Come either early as soon as it opens, or later towards the end of service to have a more relaxed meal. Do not miss out on the "themed nights" which are mostly a good paella or grilled meats cooked outside on the terrace-this is much fresher and tastier than the normal buffet trays.

And do not forget about the pine forest next door. It is not simply a way to the beach but an excellent place for jogging in the morning or having a picnic under its shade when someday suddenly gets too hot on the sand. Remember also that Cala Agulla fills up with people by noon; therefore, get there early (between 9:30 and 10:00 AM) to find a good spot on the sand and see how clear water looks before an afternoon breeze starts.
