Getting There

The journey to Club Hotel Cala Ratjada is long because the resort lies in that area of the island which is farthest from the capital, on its easternmost tip. Arrival shall be through Palma de Mallorca International Airport (PMI). It is about 80 kilometers from the airport to the hotel, a distance usually covered within 1 hour and 15 minutes up to 1 and a half hours maximum. The most convenient but also an expensive way should be by private taxi or pre-booked transfer since this means no time has to be wasted waiting for other tourists whose hotels happen to lie along the same route.

The shuttle buses (Hoppa or tour operator transfers) are both budget and popular options. They cost substantially less but be willing to sit through a long ride as the bus might have other hotel stops along the way. If you are driving a rental car, then it is almost straight via highway Ma-15 towards Manacor and then Capdepera. Mallorca has excellent roads, and this route will provide some great views of the rural interior of the island.[ Public transport ](TIB buses) is also available-and very modern-from airport take bus till Palma Intermodal Station change there for direct bus till Cala Ratjada, which itself makes quite an adventure but is really cheap.

You do not need a car to go to the beach or for dinner because everything is within walking distance. If you would like to visit the well-known Cuevas del Drach or the attractive nearby town of Artà, then renting a car for a few days or even using the local tourist "mini-train" will be just perfect.
